Homecoming Revolution, the brain gain company for Africa, is delighted to announce former president Thabo Mbeki as VIP guest speaker for our Speed Meet Jozi event.

Speed Meet Jozi, which takes place on 14 August at the Hilton Sandton, will bring many delegates together from South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and other countries within sub-Saharan Africa.

Comments Angel Jones, CEO of Homecoming Revolution, “Homecoming Revolution shares Mr Mbeki’s vision of an African Renaissance & aims to fulfill that goal by connecting influential Africans across many different borders.”

In proud association with Brand South Africa, the official marketing agency of South Africa, the event offers an ideal platform for intra-African networking, connecting African movers & shakers in a relaxed & dynamic setting.

Other guests include Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Leslie Sedibe (Proudly South African), Swaady Martin-Leke (Yswara), Trevor Ncube (Mail& Guardian), Moky Makura (Nigerian TV presenter& writer), Hazel Ojany (Kenyan Homecomer), Edward Ndopu (Amnesty International) & Emmanuel Essien (Nigerian Homecomer).

Attendees will rub shoulders with pan-African corporates including Deloitte, BAT, Barloworld , Pam Golding Properties and Accenture, captains of industry, ambassadors, diaspora professionals and other “homecomers”.

A highlight of the event will be the unveiling of Homecoming Insights 2015 report, which offers fascinating insights on African repatriation and immigration.

The survey examines a broad range of issues including the core reasons why people move abroad, the key trigger factors that encourage people to return home, what people miss most & least about home & what links people still retain with their home countries.

“Our survey has yielded some invaluable insights on both Africans in the diaspora & returnees. The results offer fantastic snippets into thoughts of both these groups & has provided us with an accurate snapshot of how strong the pull of home remains for so many Africans abroad,” concludes Jones.
