Another great speaker confirmed: Ghanaian, entrepreneur & homecomer Samuel Mensah. |
Prior to founding KISUA – African Fashion Online, Samuel Mensah was Africa Director for Intel Capital (the investment arm of Intel, the computer chip maker), making investments in innovative African technology companies and start-ups. He was also responsible for setting up Intel’s operations in Africa, outside of South Africa. An advocate for the adoption of technology to address challenges facing the African continent and stimulate economic growth, he has worked with the African Union, governments, telecommunications and financial institutions to increase access to technology on the continent. He has advised African governments on e-Government, e-Education, Digital Inclusion policy and Entrepreneurship. |
Mensah says. “I think the world is looking at Africa right now, there’s a lot of focus on Africa in general, and we have a very rapidly growing middle class that can afford and seek out good-quality fashion; international fashion as well as African-inspired fashion. The talent has always been here, we just lacked a platform like this to show it to consumers.” |
