Mastercard and Homecoming Revolution host London Fintech event
Homecoming Revolution recently hosted a targeted talent event in London for leading global payments and technology company Mastercard to encourage top Nigerian fintech talent to return home.

The event, which took place on 14 December 2018 at The Park Plaza Victoria, was titled ‘Connecting you to priceless possibilities in Africa’ and aimed to inform the audience of the exciting career prospects for diaspora professionals with fintech skills.

Each candidate in attendance was carefully selected according to Mastercard’s specific talent requirements.

Big Business sets sights on Repats for C-suite roles
Multinationals and big businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa have confirmed that localized C-suite talent works best on the continent.

At the recently held Deloitte Africa in 2019 Outlook Conference, Nabeel Laher, Head International Private Equity Old Mutual Alternative Investments, said, “We’ve found better success in employing executives who have ties back home in Africa. It is far easier for them to integrate into the business.”

Vuyo Ntoi, Head of Southern and Central Africa, African Infrastructure Investment Managers, confirmed these sentiments.

Tamara Reddy has been appointed as Head of Business Development for payments technology company iVeri.

With more than two decades of experience, iVeri has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the payments industry across most African countries.

Within her new role, Tamara will be responsible for managing and driving all the aspects of income and value enhancement within the strategy of the company.
