Amadou Biteye has joined BitPesa as Head of Francophone Africa Sales. He will focus on developing and growing the company’s presence across the region. BitPesa is a cutting-edge online payment platform that leverages Blockchain settlement to significantly lower the cost and increase the speed of business payments to, from and within sub-Saharan Africa. Amadou has an MBA in Brand Management and Entrepreneurship and has five years of Mobile Payments experience in sales and marketing. The BitPesa team spans across Nairobi, Lagos, Dakar, London and Luxembourg and includes former employees of Barclay’s, Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo, Moneygram, Xpress Money, Deloitte Consulting, and PwC. Comments Charlene Chen, COO at BitPesa, “Francophone Africa is a very important new market for BitPesa, so we’re grateful that Homecoming Revolution could find us just the right candidate with cross-border payments experience across both Europe and Francophone Africa. We’re confident that Amadou will help take our company to the next level!” “Going back to the Fintech world was one of the first things that attracted me to work for BitPesa and dealing with Africa has always been something I have aspired to in my career.
